The scope mount assembly is also compatible with the M14. However, the bi-pod mount, stock extension, and cheek piece were developed for the Garand. This design allows for a more tactical use of the M1. All components are milled from billet materials here in the United States. There is no need to remove the rear site assembly to install the scope mount. In addition, there is no drilling or tapping needed. This design allows for the use of short, modern scopes. The bi-pod mount attaches on the bayonet lug. The stock extension and cheek piece are held in place by simple screws.
